Our History
In The Beginning:
Holliday Food & Sport had its beginnings in 1987 in Waupun under its current management. At that time it was called Holiday Station Store. In 1989 an addition was added and the building was remodeled and the name was changed to it’s present name. In 1991 Holliday Express in Ripon was converted to Holliday Food & Sport. In 1996 Caves Convenience Store in Beaver Dam was purchased and renamed Holliday Food & Sport. In 1997 the Ripon store purchased Dave’s Gun Shop and welcomed Dave Ninnemann, former owner of Dave’s Gun Shop and a gunsmith, to the staff. At that time an addition and remodel was done to the store and a wider selection of firearms and other goods were offered. In 2003 another addition and remodel was done in Waupun. With this addition an A&W restaurant was added, BP Fuels were added, and a wider selection of firearms and other goods were offered. Since that time the stores have continued to grow and offer more products and services, such as TechnoHunt Video Archery and an archery range in the Ripon store.
And Now
Each store is set up to offer its own unique selection of goods and services based on the needs of the community.
The Beaver Dam store offers quality BP gasoline and diesel, snacks, soda, beer, hot coffee and cappuccino, tobacco products, lottery tickets and propane exchange.
The Waupun store offers an A&W restaurant, quality BP gasoline and diesel, snacks, soda, beer, hot coffee and cappuccino, tobacco products, lottery tickets, propane exchange, hunting and fishing licenses, live bait, fishing tackle, firearms, ammunition, compound bows and crossbows, optics, electronics, hunting accessories, outdoor apparel, and firearms repair.
The Ripon store offers quality Mobil gasoline, snacks, soda, beer, liquor, hot coffee and cappuccino, tobacco products, lottery tickets, propane exchange, hunting and fishing licenses, live bait, fishing tackle, firearms, ammunition, compound bows and crossbows, optics, electronics, hunting accessories, outdoor apparel, firearms repair (2 gunsmiths on staff), bow repair, archery range, and TechnoHunt Video Archery.
